I've always had a quiet respect for Ashton Kutcher. It really grew when I watched him in The Guardian with Kevin Costner. I had only seen him in silly and funny roles, yet this was a role completely opposite. He portrayed a serious role and did it very well. I love actors/actresses that can jump from genre to genre and still play the role believeably.
This respect grew a little more today after seeing this blog of his on myspace. This is the link, but I'll post a portion of it here too.

"I had the great fortune of attending the inauguration today with my wife. For the most part it was really breath taking. To stand in the middle of such an enormous mass cheering for the potential of the future captured me. I was less impressed by the boo's as the republican representative took the stage. I found it to be offensive and separating. I was also appauled by the people who didn't stand when former President, then President G W Bush appeared. I urged the people around me to rise. Regardless of whether or not you agree with, or like the man, he at that time was still our president and he gave 8 years of his life to serve you. The cook might not be making what you like but be greatful for the fact that he's serving you at all. How many people can say that they've dedicated 8 years of their life to the greater good of man kind, made the toughest decisions known to man. Even if you don't by any of that at least the guy made you laugh. Part of being an American is standing by the process and respecting our commander. Don't be an Obama patriot, be a patriot. Let bipartisanship die and represent this country united! ......... Below is the link to an article that I wrote for the huffington post. I am inspired by the opportunity at our finger tips and I hope you feel the same.

Celebrities have a certain position of power in this world today. I appreciate Ashton using his for the better. Hopefully, more celebrities and everyday people a like will take Ashton's lead on the former president, whether how good or bad you think he was, and respect him for the leadership role he performed for eight long years.
The article he wrote was also very well written!
In other news, Baby Huey is home and warming up from his trip to the Doctor's office!!
