Throwback

When you love someone, you open yourself up to suffering, that's the sad truth. Maybe they'll break your heart, maybe you'll break their heart and never be able to look at yourself the same way. Those are the risks.
You see two people and think they belong together but nothing happens. The thought of losing so much control over personal happiness is unbearable. That's the burden. Like wings, they have weight. We feel that weight on our backs but they are a burden that lifts us, a burden that allows us to fly.
Bones-Season 4 Finale

I posted this quote a while back and just found it again. This is one of my favorite shows of all time. 'Bones' is a forensic anthropologist, which is what I would have done had I not done hair. Big difference, I know :) Bones only believes what she can see or touch and isn't motivated by emotions. Booth, the FBI agent she partners with has more traditional beliefs about God and is very much an emotional man. As the show has been progressing Bones slowly is starting to understand what faith and emotions are.
This quote pretty much explains itself.
